Japan is Hiring Filipino Nurses and Caregivers: Check Here for the Qualifications, Requirements, and Deadline of Application!

Heads up to those Filipinos who are looking and waiting for opportunities to work in Japan! The country is now hiring Filipino nurses and caregivers through the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

According to POEA Advisory dated March 3, 2019, the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS) needs qualified applicants to fill up another batch of vacancies for 50 nurses or kangoshi and 300
care workers or kaigofukushishi for deployment in Japan under the Framework for the Movement of Natural Persons of the Philippines-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement
(PJEPA).

For those who want to apply as a nurse, qualifications are the following;

  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • With PRC Board License
  • With at least three (3) years of hospital experience
  • Must be motivated and committed to work and study as candidate for “Kangoshi” to obtain a National License in Japan

Requirements for Nurses

  • Detailed resumé with one (1) piece 2×2 recent picture

Clear photocopies of:

  • Transcript of Records
  • College Diploma Updated PRC ID Card
  • Updated Certificate of Employment
  • Japanese Language Training Certificate, if available
  • Valid Passport (expiry date should not be earlier than June 2020)
  • Valid NBI Clearance (multi-purpose)
  • PEOS Certificate (log on to www.peos.poea.gov.ph )
  • Worker’s Information Sheet/ E-Registration (log-in at https://eservices.poea.gov.ph)

For care workers, the qualifications are the following:

  • A graduate of any four (4) year course and certified as a caregiver by TESDA (NCII)
  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (with or without PRC license)

Requirements for Care workers

  • Detailed resumé with one (1) piece 2×2 recent picture

Clear photocopies of:

  • Transcript of Records (authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), authenticated copy to follow
  • College Diploma (authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), authenticated copy to follow
  • Updated PRC ID Card, if applicable
  • Updated Certificate of Employment, if applicable
  • Japanese Language Training Certificate, if available
  • Valid TESDA NCII Certificate in Caregiving (if not BS Nursing Graduate)
  • Valid Passport (expiry date should not be earlier than June 2020)
  • Valid NBI Clearance (multi-purpose)
  • PEOS Certificate (log on to www.peos.poea.gov.ph )
  • Worker’s Information Sheet/ E-Registration (log-in at https://eservices.poea.gov.ph)

All candidates are required to undergo a total of twelve (12) months intensive Japanese Language Training before working which consists of six (6) months intensive Preparatory Japanese Language Training in the Philippines (live-in) and six (6) months intensive Japanese Language Training in Japan (live-in).

Those who have Japanese Language Proficiency Training Certificate (JLPT N4) will be exempted in the JLPT in the Philippines.
