Mom Forgets Baby at the Airport, Plane Forced to Return

It is common for us people to forget something in our day to day lives and activities. We misplaced our keys, forget things on a grocery shop, peoples names and so on. But is it possible to forget your own child? Well for some reason, maybe yes!

This unusual thing happens to a Saudi mother who is a passenger of a flight from Saudi Arabia bound to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Flight SV832 of Saudi Airlines (SAUDIA) forced to return to the airport minutes after taking off after a passenger on board had forgotten her baby in the boarding area at the terminal of the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah.

In a video uploaded on Youtube, the pilot can be heard relaying the story to air traffic control.

“May God be with us. Can we come back or what?” the pilot was heard talking to the air traffic controller.

The operator, after taking the flight number, is heard asking another colleague about the protocol.

“This flight is requesting to come back…a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”

The operator then asks the pilot to re-confirm the reason for turning back.

The pilot was overhead speaking: “We told you, a passenger left her baby in the terminal and refuses to continue the flight.”

“Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us!”

After the conversation, the plane returned safely to Jeddah for the mother to be reunited with her kid before embarking again on their flight to continue the journey to Kuala Lumpur.
