No More Walk-in Applicants—POEA

Overseas job applicants will no longer be entertained at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) unless they have an online appointment.

In an advisory issued at their official social media page, POEA said the agency has started the strict and full implementation of the overseas Filipino workers (OFW) Record Online Appointment System (OROAS).

According to POEA chief Bernard Olalia, “Walk-in applicants will not be entertained.” So for those seeking overseas employment, they should go to the POEA website to schedule an appointment from Monday to Friday, except holidays.

Olalia said that accommodation of walk-in applicants who come to POEA has prejudiced those who want to get an appointment in the morning using OROAS.

A majority of those who walk in without an appointment are applicants for household service workers, Olalia said.

POEA advised recruitment agencies and OFWs to avail of the online appointment system because they will no longer entertain walk-in applicants starting March 11, 2019.

To make an appointment, log on to http://ofwrecords.poea.gov.ph/ and follow the instructions

Simula po sa March 11, 2019, sa Online Appointment System na lamang po ang pag-request ng OFW Record. Hindi na po ia-accommodate ang mga walk-in application.Mag-login sa http://ofwrecords.poea.gov.ph/
