China’s Huawei Signs Agreement To Develop 5G In Russia

Tech giant Huawei had a lot of issues regarding its company recently. This is due to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to ban all US companies from selling high-end equipment to the Chinese telecom.

All because the US government was scared and believed that Beijing could be spying on them and other countries.

Trump has tried to convince other countries’ leaders to not accept the 5g network in their country like Europe. But Europe dismissed US’ call to ban as they think it will be useful to the development of their country.

“5G technology will transform our economy and society and open massive opportunities for people and businesses”

However, some companies had to withdraw their business with Huawei like YouTube and Google.

And because of this, Huawei is in turmoil until it can create its own operating system and chips for their phones.

But for good news, reportedly the Russian telecom company MTS signed a deal with Huawei to develop the 5G network in their country last June 5. All in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

They will start their collaboration and development of the fifth generation cellular network technology next year.

“The development of 5G technologies and the pilot launch of fifth-generation networks in 2019-2020,” MTS stated.

Guo Ping, the deputy chairman of Huawei said that he was “very happy” with the deal “in an area of strategic importance like 5G.”
