Madam Kilay is well known for her funny video skits that are highly relatable and of course her exaggerated “KILAY” hence the name.
But recently one of her posts went viral for a different reason. She initially wanted to feed the street children a delicious dinner at Jollibee Bucandala branch.
However, as they entered the store the guard gave them a stare probably because of the number of street children that entered with her. And when they started ordering food, the guard was still watching over them.
And when she and the kids sat down, the guard started telling them that what they’re doing is not allowed. The guard then called the manager of the store and they were informed that they can’t film inside because of their Jollibee Logo. Madam Kilay tried to bargain with them by saying that she’ll cover it up when she edits it but they still didn’t allow it.
She could feel the discrimination in the air as if street children were not allowed to enter the store.
“BABAYARAN NAMAN NAMEN ANG KAKAININ NAMEN HINDI LIBRE” she said in her caption.
The kids were really excited to eat at the said fast food chain but in the end, Madam Kilay just brought the kids to a local “tapsihan” because of what happened. But that’s okay as it seems that they kids enjoyed the food at the tapsihan much more.
