Got an extra $50 million to spend? Why not spend a vacation in space?
NASA recently announced that they will be allowing private citizens to stay at the International Space Station for a month for $35,000 per night.
Vacationers will travel to the ISS using the rocket-and-capsule launch systems being developed by Boeing Co and Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The big companies will ferry astronauts from U.S. soil to ISS for the first time in almost 10 years.
The space agency will be allowing only 2 private trips to ISS per year, each lasting up to a month. The first mission might be as early as next year.
