Former model Deniece Cornejo has made headlines again–this time, after completing an online course and getting a perfect score in her final examination on HarvardX!
On Facebook, Deniece gladly shared her achievement by posting a photo of her with her Harvard banner and certificate.
“I finally did it! And received a cute gift. Yes, I passed! Got the perfect in the finals! What they say is true, hard work never betrays. It all pays off in the end. Almost eight months of sleepless nights and a lot of reading, it finally led to this,” she wrote.
She then thanked all the people who led her to the aforementioned milestone.
“I would like to thank my mentor, Jaquelene Bhabba, Professor of the Practice of Health and Human Rights, as well as the Director of research at Harvard FBX Center for Health and Human Rights,” she expressed.
Moreover, Cornejo assured, “The work continues for the children rights protection program where countries such as Nigeria, Nepal, Africa, Japan, US, India, and Russia took active participation in the discussion. I am honored to lobby for international human rights specifically in children rights theory and practice.”
In 2014, Deniece’s name surfaced in the news for allegedly being involved in a controversy surrounding the beating of actor Vhong Navarro. It can be recalled that Vhong appeared before the media with his mauled face. Eventually, he filed illegal detention charges against Deniece–together with businessman Cedric Lee–and later on won the case.
Deniece, on the other hand, accused Vhong raping her; filing a case against him. It was, however, dismissed by the Department of Justice in 2017.
